DO YOU REMEMBER KODACHROME?
- Probably not.

All those slideshows people used to look forward to?
- No, not really.

Curios to see the places we used to travel to on a white silky screen (or a white wall) in our living room?
- Boring… And slow…

You bet.

There were times when taking good pictures meant more than applying “point and shot” technique. Remember when the proper composition of every frame depended judgment of skill in a fracture of a second rather then possibility to crop it nicely in Photoshop, or when you had to choose the right exposure (what’s that?) accordingly to the sensitivity of your film, and when between shooting and having your slides developed you had to wait for at least a week.

Sounds really boring (?!).

So, where is that skill now? Aren’t we all born photographers? How important is to have a good eye? Or sense of harmony between lines and light? What is aesthetically pleasing? How important is education?
